When it comes to networking for a new position, stay positive.
This can be especially hard when you’re coming off of a job that didn’t end well.
But no one needs to know that.
So close your eyes, and divide your thoughts into two rooms: One for the old job, and one for the new, amazing job you’re looking for.
Softly, gently, close the door on the old job…and walk away.
Now open the door to your new, fantastic job with all its possibilities. Let yourself get excited.
Explain to acquaintances that you’re ready for something new. Tell them you’re looking to grow. Connect with people in your industry who can connect you to more connections, and see where they lead.
Stay curious and excited. People will be attracted to the positive energy you give off.
And if the experience at your old job was so bad you can’t break free, call me and set up a free consultation. I know what it’s like to be there.
Together we can work out the issues and find you a job so perfectly tailored to you, you’ll be grateful to your old boss for firing you.
(Okay, maybe not. But close.)
